Burn the Floor Puts a Contemporary Spin on Traditional Dance Style in All-New Stage Show

Sixteen dancers from around the world will heat up the Desert Grill stage when Busch Gardens Tampa Bay presents Let's Dance featuring Burn the Floor, opening Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Set against a fast-paced soundtrack of familiar favorites including “Proud Mary” and “Turn the Beat Around,” the international dance troupe offers a new twist on the Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Cha cha, Jive, Swing, Mambo and more.

Choreographers Peta Roby and Jason Gilkison are one of Australia's most successful dance couples, having earned British, World and International Championship titles. Gilkison was also recently featured during the finals for "So You Think You Can Dance.”

Many of the performers - including Company Manager Brendan Humphries - have been featured as both dancers and choreographers on “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance.” Cast member Kevin Clifton was also part of last year's original Burn the Floor cast on Broadway.

Collectively, the 16 performers in “Let's Dance featuring Burn the Floor” hold more than 100 championship titles, including Australian Professional Rising star Champion, International Korean Professional Latin Champion, and National Australian Latin and Ballroom Champion.

Let's Dance featuring Burn the Floor offers daily performances through April 18 and is included with any Busch Gardens daily admission or annual pass. For details and showtimes, visit www.buschgardens.com or call 888-800-5447.
