by Staff

Lemur from Busch Gardens Tampa

SeaWorld & Busch Gardens animal ambassadors will make three national appearances this Sunday and Monday. First, on Weekend TODAY, Julie Scardina will introduce Lester Holt and Jenna Wolfe to some animals native to South America including a sloth from Busch Gardens Tampa and a black and white tegu from SeaWorld Orlando. A spoonbill may decide to turn Lester into a tree by landing on his head.

Then on Monday, Julie and our animal ambassadors will make two appearances on TODAY. First in the 8 am hour with Ann and Matt and then in the fourth hour with Hoda and Kathie Lee, the hosts at Studio 1A will learn about some amazing people doing extraordinary things to save wildlife and wild places in a new book called Wildlife Heroes, co-authored by Julie Scardina. The gang will meet a slow loris, a pair of cotton top tamarins, a flamingo, a lemur and several more animals from our parks. TODAY airs nationally on NBC; check local listings for more information.
