Grab Your Fork for the Premiere of "Adventures in Flavor"

Did you know that sticking to your diet while at SeaWorld®, Busch Gardens® and Sesame Place® can be a walk in the (theme) park? Or that our parks slow-cook chicken and ribs to create some of the best barbecue this side of the Mississippi? How about the fact that our bakers freshly prepare thousands of breads, cookies, and pies every morning at our onsite bakeries.

Well, we’re letting you in on our culinary secrets as SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment presents “Adventures in Flavor.“ This new web series takes you behind the kitchen counter for an insider’s look at what makes our food some of the best in the theme park industry. Some of the delicious tidbits you’ll discover are:

• Our vegetables served at the parks and used in some of our low-calorie items are delivered fresh every day.
• We slow cook (onsite) and serve more than 2 million pounds of barbecue chicken and ribs each year.
• Our bakers fire up the ovens before the crack of dawn to get ready for our guests. One of our parks alone uses more than 5,000 pounds of flour a week to make bread.

In the first of this periodic web series, Healthy Choices, you’ll discover that you have don’t have to give up on your diet when you visit our parks. SeaWorld Orlando’s Executive Chef, Hector Colon, showcases a few of the more than 60 healthier and lighter meals served at our parks, from a refreshing veggie wrap to a low-calorie vegetarian chili.
