Mike Boos has been named vice president of zoological operations at Busch Gardens, the top zoological position at the Tampa park. Boos, 43, replaces Glenn Young, who retired at the end of June.

Busch Gardens' Broadway-Style Show to Entertain Audiences Through Labor Day

After six years and more than 10,000 performances, the curtain will close one last time on Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's Broadway-style spectacle KaTonga: Musical Tales from the Jungle” on Labor Day.

SeaWorld Orlando received nine endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtles that were impacted by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The turtles arrived at Orlando Executive Airport  on Friday, June 25 and were transported to the park's Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.

For several weeks now, guests entering Busch Gardens Tampa Bay have been met with construction walls in the southeastern corner of the park, and many have speculated as to what Busch Gardens is building.

Today SeaWorld Orlando is receiving nine endangered Kemp's Ridley sea turtles that have been impacted by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The turtles will arrive at Orlando Executive Airport and then transported to the park's Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. And guess what -- we'll be live tweeting and blogging the entire process.

Did you catch the TODAY Show this morning on NBC? SeaWorld took part in Al Roker's annual series, “Lend a Hand TODAY” and donated $12,000 of aquarium equipment and operating software to the Seacoast Science Center for their various aquarium exhibits.

Did you know Humpback whales produce a series of sounds that are classified as "songs?" 

Experts speculate that such vocalizations make it possible for whales to locate each other and assess possible mate status.  While scientists don't have clear answers on the exact function of these songs, the songs are indeed sung by the males and only while in breeding grounds.
