Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy is a spectacular new show featuring talent from all over the world from Ukraine to China. But it’s important to note that many of the performers are from right here – Tampa Bay. Ericka Womack-Brown is one of the three female dancing ensemble roles in the show. She graduated from the University of Tampa in 2006.

Ericka started her journey as a Busch Gardens entertainer last year in a holiday show called Christmas from the Heart. Ericka was a dancer in both Katonga: Tales from the Jungle and in Blood Relations, which is a theatrical/musical comedy presented during Howl-O-Scream. She was also the lead singer in Dance to the Music. While speaking with Ericka, she told me that her favorite part of being in Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy is the element of the specialty acts that have not been done before in a theme park. “Each role in the show entails something entirely different,” Ericka said. Some of the costumes she wears include a unicorn, lizard, emu, giraffe and a butterfly.
Among other parts in the show, Ericka plays the unicorn role.
“I grew up going to Busch Gardens with my family. Now, being an entertainer here gives me an entirely different perspective of the park,” Ericka said. For Busch Gardens, she first auditioned as a singer and had never danced at all when she got her first part in a show. Now, her main role in Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy is dancing.
To Ericka, her fellow cast members are not considered coworkers, but more like friends and family. Be sure to look for Ericka when watching Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy at Busch Gardens.
