Several SeaWorld fans have noticed historical footage of our rescue team in action in “Dolphin Tale,” and have asked what role SeaWorld played in the rescue of Winter. This is the story of the passion and expertise displayed by the many marine mammal experts credited with helping this remarkable animal.

A fisherman spotted the animal, her tail severely injured by a crab trap line, in the Mosquito Lagoon on Florida’s east coast.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Senior Leadership Team, (from left to right) Michael Hartman, Jim Atchison and Dan Brown have picked their favorite Brazilian soccer team - Santos Futebol Clube, of course! They had a personal visit from the mascot, "Baleião," the "Big Whale," during their visit to Sao Paulo this week. He sure looks familiar.

Animals in need and endangered species around the world will benefit from more than $1 million in grants awarded this year by the non-profit SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. The Fund approved grants to more than 100 wildlife protection projects. Here are a few of the efforts.

SeaWorld is home to many finned, feathered and furry fathers that have had a role in more than 18,000 animals born or hatched at our parks over four decades. This year, SeaWorld announces our “Best Dad” award recipient, Simon the otter, in this heartwarming video, and also the runner-ups in a fun sheet dads and kids can read together.

Today, The Dawn Brancheau Foundation hosted the Inaugural “Dream Big 5K” at SeaWorld Orlando. The event included a one-mile family walk and a food collection drive. All food contributions and a portion of the race proceeds will benefit the Central Florida Children’s Home.
