Cleaning coast lines, restoring oyster reefs, teaching green tips at environmental events, and hosting interactive educational experiences at the parks are just a few ways SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks across the U.S. are getting involved this Earth Day.

On April 16 The Dawn Brancheau Foundation is hosting the Inaugural “Dream Big 5K” at SeaWorld Orlando. The event also includes a one-mile family walk and a food collection drive. All food contributions and a portion of the race proceeds will benefit the Central Florida Children’s Home. The registration fee is $25 and participants can pre-register online at EpicSportsMarketing.com.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is not only a destination for fun, but a place to learn about conservation, animals and the natural world. Passionate, certified educators lead these engaging programs, like Cara Treadway, Busch Gardens’ School Programs Supervisor.

SeaWorld Orlando returned a mom and calf manatee pair back to nature with the help of students from Fern Creek Elementary School. The kids received a hands-on conservation lesson as animal care specialists sent Mossback and her calf Eva into the waters of Blue Spring State Park in Orange City, FL.

Last Friday at University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Joe Couceiro, Chief Marketing Officer for Worlds of Discovery made a special presentation to students. Couceiro shared advice and real-life company experiences to help students succeed in their hospitality careers.
