The New Sea World

Wow, SeaWorld Orlando has made some changes over the past few years! The family and I finally visited the park after talking about it for about two years, and I really can't even remember the last time I went. I used to know this park well after working there for about 6 years, but it has made a lot of good changes. I was surprised and impressed with the new shows, eateries, exhibits, etc...

As with any day at a theme park, there was some good and some bad parts of the day. The shows were great, especially the Blue Horizons. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see as many shows as we would have liked because it was so HOT! Not to mention that it took me a while to get on the Manta because the ride went down while I was in line. However, they got back up and I made it on and it was an awesome ride. Not too scary on the loops and twists aspect, but more on the "am I going to fall out of this thing and die a horrible death in front of thousands of people". Nothing more exciting than the fear of imminent death, and now I know what it feels like to fly like Superman. We also spent some time in Shamu's Happy Harbor, the kid's area so they could get in a few of the rides as well. My five year old was more interested in the rides than seeing the fish anyway. We did a few other things around the park like the Penguin Encounter, Wild Arctic, Shark Encounter and the Stingray Lagoon.

We had a great time, but next time it will have to be when it is cooler. If you haven't been in a few years, I recommend checking it out and I think you will be impressed as well with the new SeaWorld.
