As we move towards the opening of Aquatica I will be taking some time to explain some of the concept images and what our guests will experience when they visit our new waterpark.   One of my favorite images and concepts of Aquatica is the resort atmosphere.   When we were talking to guests in focus groups guests were adamant that a resort feel was something they couldn’t find in the cities they come from.  We knew right away this would be one of the most important features for us to deliver on

Today, Discovery Cove’s all-new experience, The Grand Reef, came to life in Orlando. The vibrant, new reef caters to all different kinds of explorers. Whether you like to wade in the shallow waters or you like a deeper quest, at The Grand Reef there’s an adventure for everyone!

Last year, the American Camp Association (ACA) launched a campaign entitled “Because of Camp…” With YouTube videos and bill boards, it got people thinking about the benefits of camp: friendship, responsibility, skill development, self confidence, etc. People from all walks of life can experience camp and I think no two people get the same thing out of the camp experience.

This morning, Busch Gardens Park President Jim Dean announced an all-new ice show opening this February. Here's the scoop for the amazing new show:

Howl-O-Scream is a time of year when the park takes on a whole new look and immerses guests in a Halloween atmosphere. Did you know that we custom-create much of the park’s Halloween decor? Drawing from traditional theatrical scenic painting and construction methods, extra steps are made to ensure durability, especially since most items are outside in the elements for more than a month. Check out what we're crafting for the 13th annual Howl-O-Scream and all the effort we put into the creations.

We're very excited to announce the free Busch Gardens App for the iPhone is now available for download in iTunes. Over the past couple of months, Virginia Williams and I have been working with our corporate marketing team to develop the first iPhone App for the park, which will also be available for Android users in the near future. Check out some of the exciting features that you can use when visiting our park.

We would like to welcome Casting Crowns, Matt Maher, Donnie McClurkin and Trin-I-Tee 5:7 as this weekend’s Glory at the Gardens artists. Casting Crowns will be performing with Matt Maher on Saturday, June 18. Trin-I-Tee 5:7 will open for Donnie McClurkin on Sunday, June 19.

Glory at the Gardens’ final weekend is coming up with performances by CeCe & BeBe Winans, TobyMac and Sanctus Real. Be sure to stop by the Royal Palace Theatre on Saturday to see the chart-topping brother and sister duo, CeCe & BeBe Winans. Sanctus Real will open for TobyMac for the final concert on Sunday. Both concerts begin at 6 p.m.
