Check Out Our New Mobile App

Need to know the wait time for Griffon? We have an app for that. Our new Busch Gardens mobile app, available for download today at the App Store on iTunes, sends park-specific information like restaurant menus, show schedules and restroom locations right to a guest’s smartphone. An interactive map lets GPS-compatible phones navigate the park with ease so guests can spend less time rushing around our park and more time enjoying its attractions.

Coming Soon: SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular 2011

That time of year is upon us, once again. With nicer weather and pumpkin patches making their debut in coming weeks, fall is officially on its way – and so is one of SeaWorld’s most popular events, Halloween Spooktacular. As the season’s ultimate family-friendly experience, kids can trick-or-treat in a sea-themed atmosphere, catch silly and spooky shows, and encounter whimsical sea creatures. SeaWorld Orlando:

Common Wolf Misconceptions

I was able to think about the questions about wolves we most frequently are asked and it made me realize, there are a lot of misconceptions. Some of you probably know a great deal about wolves and some of you might just think you know. During this revelation, it also occurred to me that one of the most important things I do is to move others to feel as passionate about animals and conservation as I do. And if there are many misunderstandings about our animals, then I’m not doing my job.

Completing the Camp Circle

I’ve written about former campers and where they are now, whether it is up at Shamu stadium as a trainer or working with sea lions or in the Florida Keys on a lobster boat, but this story may be the best yet. A few weeks ago, one of SeaWorld San Antonio’s first campers brought her own family back to camp. Julie was a part of our first day camp group in 1992 and part of the first resident camp in 1994. She then came back as a camp counselor in 1996 & 1997, the years that I was a camper.

Cute Alligator?

You don't often hear the words cute and alligator in the same sentence, but our newest Water Country USA residents are definitely an exception. I want to introduce you to our new American alligators - Elvis, Horatio, Crocket and Tubbs. These little guys or girls (they are too young to tell) are only two months old and already have me wrapped around their little webbed toes, especially Tubbs. Currently they are about ten inches long, but as adults can reach up to 15 feet … at which point I will not be holding them.

Enjoying Howl-O-Scream with the Little Ones

I don’t know about you, but my kids prefer to not be at Busch Gardens late during Howl-O-Scream. They don’t like to be scared. However, there are some ways to work around it.  Plan to get here early so you can enjoy the park before the scare squad takes over. You can still enjoy the decorations and Halloween-themed atmosphere without the scares.

Ever Wonder How Much Toilet Paper SeaWorld Goes Through?

Remember how you felt, as a child, the day before the first day of a new school year?  There was the excitement and nervousness about starting that first new day.  You had all of your “new” things laid out, back pack, supplies, outfit and new shoes. Well the same feeling resonates for the Operations Department as we gear up for SeaWorld San Antonio's park opening on February 26th. We are excited for that first new day of the 2011 season but we have a short window to pull everything together.

Experience an up-close encounter with our Clydesdales

One of my favorite tours we offer at our park is our “#gotodetail">Clydesdales and Collies” tour. My primary responsibility is caring for the birds, snakes and small mammals, so I don’t get to visit with the horses as much as I might like. As one of the tour guides for our Behind the Scenes tour, this is how I get my Clydesdale fix.
